An exciting opportunity exists for a college intern to join our semiconductor foundry team at the Advanced Microelectronics Solutions Department (AMSD) at Raytheon in Andover, MA. AMSD develops, designs, and manufactures compound semiconductor devices, microwave/millimeter-wave integrated circuits, and modules for defense applications. What You Will Do Working in a cleanroom environment Handling GaAs and GaN wafers Assisting with various lithography, deposition, and etch processes Performing and documenting optical microscope inspections Performing scanning electron microscope imaging Failure analysis and Data analysis What You Will Learn Wafer fabrication techniques such as lithography, deposition and etc processes Optical and scanning electron microscope imaging techniques Data analysis and trouble-shooting techniques Qualifications You Must Have Must be pursuing a Bachelor's (or higher) degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major. This position is for an intern who is enrolled in a Bachelor's (or higher) degree program and will be at minimum entering their junior year by the start of summer 2025. The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
