Job description

My client is seeking a Field Service Engineer to assist their team in Ayer, MA. They will be responsible for servicing my client's customers and providing in-house support on their power supplies and circuits. This is a brand new position which has been created due to growth of the company.

My client is a Worldwide Designer and Manufacturer of DC transformers and rectifiers. Their power conversion products and customer service are considered best in the industry and has led to the growth and development of the organization.

Description

The key responsibilities of the Field Service Engineer will be:

Field Installation and Commissioning:

  • Execute on-site installation and commissioning of transformers, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with project managers and clients to plan and schedule installation activities.

Testing and Diagnostics:

  • Conduct comprehensive testing of transformers to verify their performance and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues, implementing effective solutions to ensure optimal functionality.

Preventive Maintenance:

  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans for transformers installed at customer sites.
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance to extend the lifespan of transformers and reduce downtime.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of all field service activities, including testing results, maintenance procedures, and customer communication.
  • Generate comprehensive reports for internal and external stakeholders.

Profile

The successful Field Service Engineer will have:

  • Two-year technical degree in electronics, electrical, engineering, or equivalent
  • 2+ years of test/troubleshooting experience in the field of Industrial Electronics, Power Electronics is preferred.
  • Experience of PLC Programming is a Plus
  • Knowledge of High Voltage Electronics is highly preferred
