The MITRE Intelligence Center's Technical Analysis Department is looking for a seasoned multi-discipline systems engineer and interagency technical specialist to provide expert subject matter expertise to shape and develop opportunities for direct sponsor work on capability development, technical evaluation, and SME advisory projects across MITRE's Intelligence Center sponsor base. This person will work with their project leader to represent MITRE to interagency stakeholders and help manage MITRE's relationships with their organizations. The senior subject matter expert will also establish and maintain relationships with MITRE Labs organizations to maintain a diverse, capable resource pool to support frequently shifting mission priorities. This is a full-time position in either McLean, VA; Colorado Springs, CO; or Bedford, MA with travel expected 25%. This position requires a minimum of 4 days a week on-site Roles & Responsibilities: The successful candidate will demonstrate expert ability to perform direct sponsor work to support and facilitate DOD, IC, and interagency technical development and joint operations. Prior government or military service in technical intelligence and interagency coordination of operations is required to facilitate advice to aid interagency collaboration in a complex operational environment. Basic Qualifications: Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 3 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with relevant experience who can immediately contribute at this job step; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
Demonstrated success working in small teams or independently in complex technical or sponsor dynamic environments.
A current, active Top Secret / SCI clearance with polygraph and ability to maintain classified sponsor network access is required.
Demonstrated experience in government or military technical operations with an emphasis on coordination, deconfliction, concept development, and organizational relation building.
Experience relaying lessons learned, best practices, and/or technical expertise to peers, subordinates, or other organizations.
Government employee or military experience in the national intelligence community or federal law enforcement. Preferred Qualifications: Deployed overseas experience in the military or US government.
Demonstrated experience and understanding of the specialized mission needs and relevant technical solutions in highly constrained operational environments.
Demonstrated experience identifying and closing requirement gaps between sponsor agencies.
Demonstrated knowledge of at least one of the following disciplines: Technical Intelligence, Interagency Coordination, Radio-Frequency, Electro-Optical, Bio science, Geo science, or related disciplines.
Experience translating operational mission needs into acquisition, technical, and programmatic requirements and documentation.
Excellent critical and strategic thinking abilities, as well as written and verbal communication skills. This requisition requires the candidate to have a minimum of the following clearance(s):
