Assistant Actuary

Fidelity Insurance Agency (FIA) is looking for an Assistant Actuary to help drive our life insurance and annuity product initiatives. Join a diverse team that builds, promotes, and supports Fidelity's outstanding future state experience.

The Role

  • Assist in the design of life insurance and annuity products for Fidelity's platform.
  • Conduct cost/benefit analysis, industry comparisons and evaluate competitor products.
  • Contribute to thought leadership on the positioning of insurance products.
  • Develop, evaluate, and support models that will allow clients to assess how insurance products can be an important part of a financial plan.
  • Play a key role in implementing new products and revisions to existing products.
  • Create numerical exhibits and review product related marketing, sales and training materials.
  • Analyze product data to understand trends and policyholder behavior.
  • Present to senior management on a periodic basis.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • BS in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Finance or Physics
  • 7+ years of proven insurance experience
  • Fellow or Associate in the Society of Actuaries
  • Broad based insurance background including exposure to distribution, marketing, systems, client services, and finance with a clear understanding of the interactions between these areas.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain sophisticated topics to non-technical people at all organizational levels
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships as you work collaboratively across teams
