Client Details

Reputable Commercial General Contractor, based in Holliston MA, is looking for an Assistant Super to join their team!

First job will be a $30M renovation in Cambridge, MA

They specialize in both ground up and renovation projects, both Public & Private, between $10M-$35M on avg.

Recently built out a new BIM department within the business!

They focus on providing the highest quality of work and service to their clients - by providing a manageable workload to their staff, so employees can dedicate their time and efforts into each job that they work on.

Description

  • General supporting contract, subcontract documents, drawings and specifications under direction from the Superintendent
  • Checking and verifying subcontractor layout to ensure compliance with established control, line and grade
  • Monitoring production and record rates in logbook to be used for future scheduling
  • Maintaining a set of production documents and update daily so an accurate picture of work in place is consistently maintained
  • Reporting any and all field conditions and issues to the Superintendent
  • Monitoring job progress on-site, checking all work to ensure compliance with contract documents and the Quality Control Program
  • Working with Superintendent to develop and carry out the plan and schedule for project work
  • Planing and preparing documentation to facilitate the close out process at the discretion of the Superintendent
  • Maintaining and reviewing the safety requirements for the Project and resolve or report deficiencies to the Superintendent and Safety Manager
  • Working with and coaching field engineers on the project to facilitate their skills development
  • Assisting in maintaining the Construction Management Plan and logistical co-ordination

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience as an Assistant Super with a Commercial General Contractor
  • Preferably public or multifamily experience but open to strong commercial background
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask, and work well in fast paced construction environment
  • Knowledge of construction safety regulations and quality standards
  • Commitment to teamwork and collaboration
