The IQVIA Market Access Strategy Consulting team (formerly known as Amundsen Consulting) is a market-leading strategy and analytics division within IQVIA that helps manufacturers in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry meet the challenges of today's patient access and affordability landscape. Our team uses healthcare data to help manufacturers measure the impact of market access on brand performance and the influence this has on prescribers and patients gaining access to innovative therapies. We provide insights into geographic variations of patient, insurer, and prescriber behavior, helping manufacturers implement effective strategies for sales execution, insurer contracting, net revenue optimization, and patient assistance programs.
As a new hire, you will receive on-the-job training to develop the skills and business acumen necessary to navigate the largest set of US healthcare data assets. The knowledge and experience you build as an Associate Principal will prepare you to generate high-quality insights for senior leaders at top pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies in the US.
Position Overview
Associate Principals play a key leadership role on the Market Access Strategy Consulting team. They are accountable for leading and managing multiple consulting projects of varying complexity, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery for clients. They also lead the development of new approaches and methodologies to address key business questions and continuously improve market access, policy, and analytical modeling capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop project proposals and statements of work to design, scope, and plan projects addressing key client business needs.
- Assist in the identification and staffing of teams to deliver strategic insights, tools, and models.
- Lead internal project teams, ensuring the development of client reports and presentations meets quality expectations.
- Identify strategic alternatives and approaches to effectively address client questions.
- Serve as the primary point of contact and partner with the client for project deliverables and relationship management.
- Ensure clear communication with clients and follow up to ensure client satisfaction.
- Develop new business opportunities through identification of follow-on work.
- Support the development of new analytical methodologies and intellectual property for future client engagements.
- Share subject matter expertise to elevate capabilities for delivering solutions.
- Take a leadership role on people-related initiatives such as recruitment and development.
- Serve as manager to junior staff to support personal development.
- Assist with recruiting new team members and participate in the interview process.
An ideal candidate will have:
- 6+ years professional experience in consulting, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industry with evidence of career progression.
- Strong academic track record including a minimum Bachelor's degree or equivalent; an MBA or relevant graduate degree is desired.
- A track record of leadership and people development.
- Strong project planning, time management, and organizational skills.
- Excellent conversational and business English (written and oral).
- Exceptional IT literacy (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- A willingness and ability to travel as needed.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $181,600.00 - $352,600.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on job-related qualifications, location, and schedule.
