VP, Northeast Regional Manager - Environmental

Leadership position responsible for management of Chubb Environmental Risk relationships, production, and underwriting team within the Northeast Region. Oversight of regional Environmental insurance marketplace, cross-sell, and underwriting activities in the Region.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Directly manage a team of Environmental underwriters.
  • As manager, utilize all tools to hire, train and retain direct underwriting staff. Responsibilities include:
    • Performance management - effectively establish goals and objectives for the underwriters and manager their performance.
    • Training and education - in collaboration with learning & development, and home office resources, develop and execute training curriculums for the underwriters reporting to them.
    • Vacancy management - responsible for effectively managing staff vacancy/turnover ratio.
  • Implement product line underwriting objectives by review, evaluation, selection, and pricing insurance programs.
  • Provide sound strategic underwriting for Chub Environmental Risk products
  • Be accountable for liaison with assigned regional executives and other regional representatives within other Chubb units and the Region.
  • Develop and implement initiatives to effectively cross-sell Environmental products across Chubb business lines.
  • Develop efficient and sustainable regional distribution network utilizing brokers and alternative facilities.
  • Generate new business revenue by developing prospects, visiting assigned producers, participating in direct presentations, negotiating programs and cross marketing within the Chubb organization.
  • Provide primary communication and direction for all processing requirements including policy issuance instruction, endorsement requests, billing requirements and audit review.
  • Maintain service standards by timely response to broker requests and timely receipt of collateral and agreements in addition to meeting deadlines on submissions of quotations, certificates and/or policies.
  • Coordinate as necessary with various departments, such as Financial, Actuarial, Billing, Claims.
  • Travel is expected to meet with clients and vendors.
