The Role

The VP, Human Resources will partner with senior leaders in FBOT Technology (CBPT) and Operations (OSG) to drive a broad range of HR, organizational, and talent management programs and services, including compensation, workforce strategy, organizational design & effectiveness, diversity, talent acquisition & retention, and skill development.

The role leads a team of 4 direct reports and has responsibility for global technology and operations organizations of more than 3,500 associates.

Additionally, this role is an active member of the broader enterprise technology HR leadership team designing and leading efforts across the enterprise in support of the technology function.



The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • 12-15+ years of HR business partner or equivalent experience
  • Proven success serving as a trusted advisor to senior level executives, challenging and influencing difficult issues and strategic decisions, as well as providing sophisticated solutions to complex issues in an ambiguous environment
  • Demonstrated experience in influencing executive teams on implications of internal and external business trends and issues that influence talent or operating environments
  • Ability to influence others, build and maintain working relationships, and deliver results and/or expertise in a professional manner
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills and are comfortable working in a fast-paced, fluid environment
  • Ability to establish future state vision and objectives and marshal the organization to achieve those objectives
  • Strong analytical capability to help translate workforce and delivery data into consulting, decision-making and business results
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to translate that into current and future talent needs of the business
  • Provide outstanding support to clients, understanding their unique needs and prioritizing appropriately


The Value You Deliver

  • Provide thought leadership to senior management (Mike Zangari & Bob Adams) in Core Brokerage Platform Technology (CBPT) and Operations and Services Group (OSG) in crafting the structure, processes and ongoing development of our workforce today while positioning the firm to meet future demands for forward-looking capabilities
  • Develop, align and execute people practices, programs, and initiatives in support of the business strategy for business partners. Programs range across business unit-specific, functional and/or enterprise in nature
  • Assess the progress of talent strategies and HR capabilities using key measures and analytics and consult with leaders using these results
  • Drive the development and integration of workforce plans, staffing strategies, compensation strategies and HR capabilities to deliver on business results
  • Ensure development strategies are in place to close gaps and build capability & bench strength vital for future leaders of the business
  • Support the continued evolution of the Global Operating Model
  • Partner on efforts to optimize the agile operating model, roles, and organizational design. Ensure our squads are positioned for success and enhanced delivery of value to the customer

The HR Team supporting Fidelity Institutional (FI) and Fund and Brokerage Operations and Technology (FBOT) is committed to delivering exceptional HR services to one of Fidelity s most significant business units. We also have responsibility for leading Talent efforts in support of Fidelity s Operations Council the cross-Fidelity Operations Functional Leadership Team.
