We are working with a Electronic Manufacturing Company in their search for a Yield Enhancement Engineer - Reducing Scrap to join the team due to growth within the company and identifying a weakness in the department. This position will report into the Quality Engineering team and will be responsible for looking at scrap, defect levels, inline improvements levels, implementing QC and QC work flows, managing and implementing root cause and implementing corrective action, reducing scrap and improving yield. Description

The Yield Enhancement Engineer - Reducing Scrap - Manufacturing will be responsible for the following:

  • Work with manufacturing engineering and operations to create protocols for production teams to follow that result in high-quality products.
  • Implement effective quality controls, teach production staff how to use them and supervise outcomes.
  • Create and implement quality control workflows to improve the efficiency of the quality assurance process.
  • Collect data about instances of product errors and investigate possible solutions by troubleshooting the manufacturing or design process.
  • Apply good theoretical knowledge of electronics manufacturing engineering principles to identify issues which could or will impact product quality.
  • Manage detailed problem-solving process including but not limited to trend and root cause analysis, containment, corrective and preventive action using classic Six Sigma problem solving techniques.
  • Analyze/modify current product processes and implement improvements. Perform a variety of complex engineering tasks to improve the reliability and manufacturability of company products.
  • Key contributor to factory process improvement using measured metrics.

Profile

The Yield Enhancement Engineer- Reducing Scrap - Manufacturing will have the following qualifcations:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in yield enhancement, process engineering, or a related role in semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., JMP, Minitab) and statistical process control (SPC).
  • Experience with semiconductor process technologies (e.g., lithography, etching, deposition) is preferred.
  • Knowledge of yield management software (e.g., KLA-Tencor, Applied Materials).
  • Experience in advanced semiconductor nodes (e.g., 7nm, 5nm).
  • Lean Six Sigma certification.

Job Offer

The Yield Enhancement Engineer- Reducing Scrap - Manufacturing will be rewarded with the following:

  • Base salary of $80,000-$120,000 depending on experience
