Looking to take your treatment sessions to the next level? Calling all OT's, COTA's and PT's that LOVE to swim and spend time in the water, we are looking to hire part-time Aquatic Therapists to work 1, 2 or 3 shifts per week. You will gain professional growth, aquatic therapy skills and a collaborative learning environment in the field of Pediatric OT. We are looking for a Pediatric Aquatic Therapist with experience teaching swimming, working in a pediatric setting, or someone with a passion for learning.

RESPONSIBILITIES
_Responsible for safety procedures and employee policies: _
Completes safety sweep at the beginning of each shift.
Aware of safety precautions and able to carry out emergency procedures.
Knowledge of space management and correct body positioning to protect their physical body from any injuries.
Shows good attendance, consistently shows up to work on time and prepared for shift.
Good time management of schedule throughout the shift.
Checks out clients daily for therapy services rendered.
Productivity expected will be an average monthly capacity of 75%.
Follows cancellation policy, proactively accesses cancellation list, and fills openings.
Completes documentation according to Swim Angelfish guidelines.
_Provides in water individualized aquatic therapy treatment: _
Provides 30, 45, or 60 minute private and semi-private aquatic therapy or swim lesson sessions to clients of all abilities.
Independently completes intake calls.
Demonstrates the ability to translate knowledge of sensory system, reflex integration, equipment usage, water properties, emotional regulation, and safety into their sessions.
Shows good engagement and connection with swimmers.
Performs standardized evaluations using aquatic therapy techniques.
Develops appropriate long- and short-term goals.
Independently complete a daily note in excel.
Caregiver relations: talks to parents/caregivers after each therapy session.
Provide consultation services and collaboration with client's care team, caregivers to find the best way to overcome clients' challenges and to better understand how the client learns.
Evaluate and recommend client need for swim instruction, distributes parent information package.
Ability to provide handling techniques (such as Halliwick, Bad Ragaz, Watsu and NDT).
Able to keep precautions of swimmers and demonstrate safe handling skills.
_Displays excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills: _
Effective verbal and written communication skills with management, co-workers, clients, and caregivers within 48 hours.
Assist in communication between parents and scheduling team with any permanent scheduling changes, including summer session.
Educate parents on services, swim lessons versus aquatic therapy, benefits and prices.
Flexible with changes in their schedule and offer to cover other shifts when needed.
Teamwork - gets along with fellow employees and shows a cooperative spirit.
Assists with set-up and clean-up of equipment at the beginning and end of shift.
Contributes to efficient pool and program operations.
Leadership skills - ability to initiate and compete tasks independently.
Participates in the creation of educational and social media content.
_Actively participates in ongoing training, certification, and professional development: _
Attends trainings such as in-services, in-water workshops, on-line training and meetings.
Discusses and problem solves difficult cases, pose questions and concerns with Pool Coordinator and coworkers.
Maintains annual requirements for position, Swim Whisperer level 1, 2, 3 and 4 certifications. OTR/ PT certificate and license.
Completes assigned orientation materials.
Performs other duties as requested by manager.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Masters or Doctorate in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. New graduate or less than once year of experience.
CPR and First-aid Certification up to date within first 30 days of hire.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Swim Angelfish online aquatic therapy courses.
Active OT or PT license in the state(s) you will provide services in.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & TRAITS: Previous experience with pediatrics, autism, aquatics, participation in a swim team or leisure swim highly desirable. Must be comfortable and safe to manage children and adults in the water. Frequent lifting, holding, carrying pool equipment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Swimming and working directly with clients during your shift.
