Description of Service Opportunity: The 2024 Summer Health Aide will support the Summer Building Nurse the needs of students participating in onsite summer programs at Cambridge Rindge and Latin School. The Summer Health Aide will be onsite from 8am - 2:00 pm (30 hrs per week) for 3 weeks, from Monday July 15 - Monday August 2nd. Duties will include: Promote and support COVID safety protocols, including appropriate procedures for students exposed or displaying symptoms of COVID-19 infection. Respond appropriately to health emergencies, and offer appropriate First Aid. Assess the social and emotional climate for the students. Help establish a positive school culture and climate where every child feels safe and respected. Minimum Requirements: Requirements: Must have three (3) to five (5) years of experience in the health field. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to be empathic and listen to others. Preference will be given to current CHA employees. Experience working with youth. Nursing experience within a school setting preferred. Length of Contract: July 15, 2021 - August 2nd, 2024 Contract Amount: Not to exceed $3,150 ($35 per hour) Funding Codes: 0-894410 Application Deadline: April 30th , Open until filled Length of Contract: July 15, 2024 to August 2, 2024 Contract Amount: $35.00 per hourly, Not exceed $3150.00 Cambridge Public Schools is committed to slowing and/or stopping the spread of COVID-19.
