How you will Achieve More with Intellia:
The Associate Director, Portfolio and New Product Strategy will be responsible for leading target- and product-level evaluations of new opportunities to inform Intellia's portfolio strategy. You will serve as a strategic thought partner to our emerging pipeline teams (supporting early research and emerging clinical programs) and work cross-functionally with Research, Development, and Commercial colleagues. At a product level, you will develop product concepts and Target Product Profiles to guide early asset opportunity, along with identifying opportunities and barriers to long-term product success. At a portfolio level, you will consider Intellia's long-term strategic plan in prioritizing opportunities for internal development versus externalization.
As a key leader within our emerging pipeline teams, you will be expected to:
Lead product-level opportunity assessments that considers the investment needs (clinical development path and resources) and longer-term opportunity (revenue potential and strategic fit)
Identify key areas of uncertainty and develop bespoke frameworks to allow portfolio-level comparisons across opportunities
Lead portfolio prioritization exercises to ensure research and development priorities are consistent with corporate plans
Drive market research among key stakeholders (clinicians, payers, patients) to understand opportunities and threats to our assets, along with forecasting product opportunities
Proactively lead and maintain competitive intelligence to develop actionable strategic insights
Identify and drive compelling brand strategy and value propositions that guide the goals of the program
Take ownership and represent the view of the Strategy team of asset opportunities at appropriate stage-gates and governance forums
About You:
This is a high visibility role within the emerging pipeline teams with influence on long-range strategy. You will be a solutions-oriented problem solver and embrace uncertainty. You will develop frameworks to support the emerging pipeline teams to enable tractable planning and problem-solving. To position yourself for success, you will be expected to have:
8+ years of industry experience in portfolio strategy or New Product Planning roles with demonstrated record of progressive leadership responsibilities
Experience leading evaluations of novel technologies and ability to communicate effectively with a science-centric audience
High EQ individual that knows how to influence without authority and contribute structure to a fast-paced and often ambiguous environment
Demonstrated record as a change agent that respectfully challenges the 'status quo' to improve ways of working and decision-making
Strong understanding of global healthcare markets
