Job Description Summary: The Program Manager leads program planning and execution of individual or a collection of disparate projects concurrently of minor complexity involving low to moderate risk. Responsible for full life cycle of Draper projects from contract award through close-out. Responsible for program development for follow-on activities for new opportunities with the same customer base or assigned market sector to include writing of winning proposals. The Strategic Systems Program office is seeking a Mission Avionics Program Manager. This program develops, tests, and delivers the world's most accurate and reliable guidance, navigation & control (GN&C) systems to enable credible, survivable, and resilient port-to-target solutions to support the US Navy. This Program Manager position will be responsible for design and development of Mission Avionics Subsystems in support of the next generation guidance system for the US Navy Strategic Systems SLBM LE2 program. The program manager will be responsible for the development and implementation of program plans, schedules, and budget for the Avionics area, as well as monitoring program performance and execution to those plans, including identifying and addressing risks and issues as needed. The role has responsibility for development of all electronics and electronics packaging for the LE2 Guidance System - includes the flight computer, associated guidance application software, power distribution, clock and timing architecture, internal and external communication, and mechanical subassemblies.
Communicating clear program objectives and goals across program areas and help ensure alignment with overall strategy and priorities.
Developing detailed program plan for program area with clear timelines and milestones that is integrated with overall program plan and schedule.
Driving program monitoring and control processes by developing and using appropriate data and metrics to measure program performance and facilitating the tracking of program status within area of responsibility. Job Description: Duties/Responsibilities
• Manages project planning and execution of individual or a collection of projects.
• Performs activity and resource planning in coordination with the assigned engineering lead.
• Manages all pre contract and post award contractual requirements including, but not limited to, protection of Draper proprietary data through non disclosure agreements, teaming agreements, and Intellectual Property agreements. • Performs cost estimating and budget planning.
• Analyzes and manages project risk and manages reports and necessary documentation from inception to close out following all Draper QMS procedures.
• Leads the development of proposals in a teaming fashion with engineering, program administration, and F&A.
• Effectively conveys work results to the project team, business leads, and supervisors in oral and written form; clearly communicates with sponsors, management and peers.
• Effectively integrates team member inputs into reports and presentations.
• Collaborates with customers through both program execution and business development activities.
• Regularly interacts with customers and technical staff to bring new concepts/solutions to our sponsors.

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business or related field of study required. Experience
3-5 years experience in program related area with functional or program management experience. Aerospace systems experience is preferred.
