Why Join Intellia?

Our mission is to develop curative genome editing treatments that can positively transform the lives of people living with severe and life-threatening diseases.

Beyond our science, we live our four core values: One, Explore, Disrupt, Deliver and feel strongly that you can achieve more at Intellia. We have a single-minded determination to excel and succeed together. We believe in the power of curiosity and pushing boundaries. We welcome challenging thoughts and imagination to develop innovative solutions. And we know that patients are counting on us to make the promise a reality, so we must maintain high standards and get it done.

We wantall ofour people to go beyond what is possible. We aren't constrained by typical end rails, and we aren't out to just "treat" people. We're all in this for something more. We're driven to cure and motivated for change. Just imagine the possibilities of what we can do together.

How you will Achieve More with Intellia:

Intellia is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Scientist to join the Early Development team. As an Oligonucleotide Bioanalytical Scientist, you will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and executing bioanalytical methods, such as qPCR and ddPCR, in a collaborative environment working closely with team members. The role includes analysis of RNA and DNA in biological matrices to support our gene editing programs.

The team is responsible for various elements of the nonclinical translational bioanalysis, including data analysis and review as well as communication of findings with internal and external partners. You will have an important role in supporting programs in the early development and nonclinical stages.

Additional role responsibilities include:

  • Design, implement, and troubleshoot bioanalytical experiments, both independently and in collaboration with colleagues

  • Develop bioanalysis methods to support early development and nonclinical studies

  • Accurately document project and sample information, methods, and experimental details using Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN)

  • Draft methods and technical reports

  • Assist with the transfer of assays to external testing laboratories

  • Participate in laboratory operations including coordination of sample testing and maintenance of laboratory sample and reagent inventory

About you:

To be successful in this role, you'll need to leverage your strong expertise and experience in molecular biology, genetic engineering, quantitative biology, or bioanalytical sciences. Your in-depth knowledge and hands-on technical skills in qPCR, qRT-PCR, and/or ddPCR to design novel methods will be critical. Strong communication skills and team-based mentality are necessities for success in this role.

This is a laboratory-based position in Cambridge, MA with the expectation to be onsite.

A Ph.D. with 0-2 years of experience OR a Master's Degree with 6+ years of industry experience OR a Bachelor's Degree with 8+ years of industry experience is required for this position.

Meet your future team:

The Early Development team is a highly motivated and collaborative group, with an innate curiosity to explore and develop. You can expect to join a fast-paced and exciting environment. We look forward to developing your skills, learning from your experiences, and building a team together. Our team is focused on building not just technical expertise but fostering an environment for the growth of scientists interested in a career in therapeutic biotechnology.
