Job description
The Senior Director, Precision Medicine Strategy Lead role is critical for the successful execution of Regeneron biomarker strategies. Will be accountable for leading a team responsible for overseeing the development and execution of biomarker strategies for the burgeoning Oncology Portfolio in Clinical Development at Regeneron. This is a strategic role responsible for independently designing, developing, communicating at senior levels and overseeing the implementation of clinical biomarker strategies across key programs in early and late stage drug development. Further, this role is responsible for providing subject matter expertise to drive successful relationships with both internal groups at Regeneron as well as external KOLs. Oncology programs comprise nearly half of the overall growing Regeneron development portfolio, including novel modalities, targets and combination therapies.
This role has a 3-day onsite minimum requirement in Armonk, NY or Basking Ridge, NJ.
As a Senior Director in Precision Medicine, a typical day may include the following:
Present strategy-driven biomarker packages at senior leader meetings
Ability to provide strategic leadership and gain the broad, cross-functional alignment of biomarker strategies.
Develop strategic vision and lead implementation for clinical biomarkers that will broadly enable advances in target identification, indication selection, early indication of biological activity and patient stratification/selection
Management and mentorship of growing precision medicine strategy lead team
Oversight and management of Precision Medicine deliverables for the overall oncology portfolio; responsible for end to end, high-quality implementation and execution of strategy
Collaborate with Oncology Research and product development teams to facilitate appropriate incorporation of Precision Medicine strategies for molecules in discovery phases (leading to candidate molecule selection) and to further clinical development in Oncology.
Accountable for ensuring that biomarker assays are fit-for-purpose (whether developed and validated internally or externally)
Collaborate with internal Regeneron functional groups (including Discovery Research, Molecular Profiling, Regeneron Genetics Center, DNAcore, BioAnalysis, etc.) to develop plan for validation and application of research assays
You have strong managerial experience as well as you possess high emotional intelligence, organizational skills and effective team leadership skills
You have the ability to drive, manage, complete and deliver results for complex multi-functional projects
Thrive in a matrixed environment by effectively collaborating across multiple teams and departments, demonstrating strong communication and organizational skills to achieve common goals
To be considered for this role, you must have a Ph.D. and/or MD equivalent. Additionally, 12+ years experience participating effectively on cross-disciplinary teams in pharmaceutical or biotech industry, including a minimum of 5 years in oncology clinical drug development is required.

$233,700.00 - $389,500.00
