Temporary Core Faculty- Multilingual Learners Program
The Opportunity
Lesley University seeks a Teacher Education in the Multilingual Learners program to join our highly evolved and uniquely conceptualized Teacher Education and Licensure department, who will teach courses on English as a Second Language, Bilingual Instruction and Assessment, and Working with Teachers in the field. The ideal candidate will have expertise in using equitable teaching practices to support students in early childhood and elementary classrooms to address the instructional needs of multilingual learners in a variety of classroom and learning settings.

The education programs direct programs in education, teacher licensure, and leadership through undergraduate to graduate and post-graduate offerings. We offer initial licensure programs according to the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, certificates and endorsements for in-service teachers, and advanced graduate work.
Qualities and Capabilities
The successful candidate will have:
Terminal degree (PhD or EdD) in multilingual education and its related fields such as English as a Second Language, Bilingual Education, and/or TESOL.
Three years of teaching experience.
Experience working with young children and teachers in early childhood and elementary classrooms
Ability to teach related courses in education such as theories, principles and practices, etc. is preferred.
