Job Description Summary: The Production, Mission Operations and Enhancements Division - Transition to Production and Deployment group group at Draper is seeking a Systems Engineer to work within multidisciplinary teams to develop and provide full system lifecycle development and management of complex, strategic grade systems, sensors and components. Responsibilities include: • Apply strong systems engineering principles to product development process for transition to Production/Deployment; concept, design Integration & Test processes and data package development and release with a high understanding of the follow-on phases to assure successful next phases of the system
• Gain a strong understanding of the deployed systems operations, mission, use cases while leading future concepts for enhancements, opportunities for leading large scale system upgrades
• Lead the test architecture and execution of testing and test architecture for development and transition to production
• Deploy Model Based Systems Engineering and Digital Engineering approaches to the development of products, concepts and/or testing & sell of systems • Lead the develop of system requirements, complaince cases and test plans for changes to deployed systems, development systems, or new products
• Apply strong systems engineering principles to system or product development process, which could include leading the Integration & Test processes and data package development and release
• Key job elements include the ability to translate requirements and functions of the units under test including highly accurate strategic sensors, micro-electro-mechanical systems (MEMs), inertial navigation systems and fault tolerant computing for enhanced ground testing, integration and test environments, engineering qualification, surveillance, and factory acceptance test equipment architecture (e.g. rate tables, centrifuges) Job Description: Duties/Responsibilities
• Help define an I&T approach for a particular component / subsystem / system and independently execute plan. • Contribute high quality content for technical reports and presentations with minimal guidance.
• Adapt appropriately to changes in program requirements.
• Proactively identify needs and concerns associated with plan execution and communicate them to project leadership. • Performs other duties as assigned. Skills/Abilities

Requires a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Applied Physics, or related field. Experience

Experience in any of the following areas is a plus: GN&C systems, inertial instruments, vibration, signal processing, data acquisition and analysis, control theory, system modeling and test, integration and test of HW and SW elements, electronics-based components and subassemblies (MEMS, breadboard HW, etc.). Domain experience with experience for strategic GN&C systems, sensors or electronics modules
