Job Description Summary: The Vice President and General Manager of Air Force and Missile Defense Strategic Systems (AFMDSS) is a position reporting to the President and CEO. The AFMDSS business area portfolio includes both franchise programs and pursuits that focus on Air Force and Missile Defense hypersonic systems, missile defense, and strategic deterrence. Job Description: Duties/Responsibilities Refine, implement and oversee the execution of a strategy that accelerates the impact and growth of the Air Force and Missile Defense Strategic Systems business to >$0.5B within 5 years.
Oversee the management of large (>$100M) full lifecycle programs to ensure delivery on program commitments to our customers with superb customer satisfaction across cost, schedule, technical, management, quality, and communications.
Deliver 5-year Integrated Business Plan and subsequent Annual Operating Plan (funding, revenue, profit, and cash) to include accurate quarterly forecasts with balanced risk and opportunities.
Maintain and grow a healthy business development pipeline that aligns with the market business strategy and business winning process.
Win new business by converting pipeline opportunities into new programs with a win rate > 75% and capture rate > 50%.
Grow and develop a diverse program management talent pipeline. Skills/Abilities Proven track record of profit and loss responsibilities for Aerospace and Defense organization with $200+M in revenue.
Proven track record of leading transformation efforts that achieve sustained >20% organic growth rate.
Established customer relationships and experience with Air Force Strategic Deterrence and Missile Defense communities Education
A masters degree in Draper's core technologies of Guidance, Navigation, and Control technologies and products, PhD is preferred. Experience A minimum of 20 years in executive leadership positions in the Electronics National Security industry with experiences in capture, development, production, to sustainment of complex electronic systems. Additional Job Description: Established customer relationships and experience with Air Force Strategic Deterrence and Missile Defense communities highly desired.
