Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (LMMFC) Chelmsford, MA is seeking a motivated and driven Quality Engineer to support our manufacturing operations. As a recognized designer, developer and manufacturer of precision engagement aerospace and defense systems for the U.S. and allied militaries, LMMFC offers the vital capabilities needed to provide our war fighting and civilian customers the products and services they need in their defining moments. Quality Engineers at LMMFC act as an integrated member of the design and production teams developing and reviewing quality standards, methods, work Instructions and procedures for the inspection of manufactured and procured products. To ensure our customer receives the highest level of Quality, our Quality Engineers develop, review/approve documentation related to internal and external manufacturing processes to ensure requirements are fulfilled. What You Will Be Doing • Reviewing documentation related to internal and external manufacturing processes to ensure quality products are delivered to the customer
• Analyzing and resolving process issues varying from basic to very complex
• Attending and leading program corrective action meeting, identifies trends, assists in problem resolution and ensures responsible parties meet commitments
• Participating as an active member of Material Review Boards and Failure Review Boards which includes the disposition of non-conforming hardware, identifying hardware containment requirements, identifying appropriate root cause and corrective action is taken to prevent recurrence
• Performing assessments and audits on processes and procedures to ensure compliance to specifications, engineering drawings, procedures and ISO 9001 & AS9100 standards
• Interfacing with customers, suppliers and program personnel on quality related issues
• Utilizing lean initiatives to reduce waste and maintain continuous improvement
• Making the final decision on acceptability of product.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a STEM related field with 2 years of professional experience
• Proficiency in relevant computer applications, such as SAP
Desired Skills:
• Working knowledge of SAP
• Working knowledge of GD&T, FMEAs, and Root Cause and Corrective Action processes
• Experience in Six-Sigma green belt techniques and statistical process control methods
• Discrete and/or Micro-electronics experience
• J-STD-001/IPC-A-610 familiarization
• ASQ CQE
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as a team player
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
