Job description
What will you do?
The Project Manager is responsible for achieving the project's objectives. They will work closely with the Project Executive, Project Sponsor, and Project Management Team to define the project objectives, create the project plan and execute the plan to achieve those objectives. The Project Manager has a working knowledge of the technical and organizational environments in which the project deliverables are created and in which they will be used. The Project Manager is familiar with industry best practices for product development and commercialization. The Project Manager must be an excellent communicator at all levels within the project environment, be proactive, exhibit strong leadership qualities, and be able to adapt to a dynamic and potentially geographically disbursed project environment.
Location : C andidate will need to work 2-3 days a week in the Foxboro, MA office to work closely with Engineering and Manufacturing.
Responsibilities and Expectations:
- Follows established standards and procedures for project reporting, communication, and documentation.
- Manages project requests and presents them to the Steering committee for approval.
- Presents Stage Gate reviews to the Steering committee, including but not limited to:
- Project status to plan
- Financial summary vs plan
- Accomplishments
- Risk management
- Leads the project management team in developing and managing the Project Plans within the constraints established and approved by the Steering committee.
- Directs and coordinates activities of multi-disciplinary project teams in a matrix environment to deliver on schedule, quality, and budget commitments.
- Maintains current project schedule and provides updates to the project team as part of regularly scheduled project meetings.
- Collaborates closely with functional managers to secure personnel resources and resolve resource conflicts.
- Manages the timely resolution of issues, including the escalation of issues that are outside of the project team's scope of responsibility.
- Continually identifies and proactively manages project risks & issues to ensure execution of corrective action plans up to closure.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Facilitates a final review with the project team to accent the positives and point out the constructive areas for improvement
- SCOPE: Small, Medium, and Large projects. Projects may be local or global across multiple international sites.
- Must work well in a team environment and be willing to assume any unassigned responsibilities.
- Ability to serve as team lead for 8-10 cross-discipline leads.
- Leadership skills: team building, empowerment, and authority delegation, ability to build rapport and consensus.
- Experience and demonstrated success driving technical solutions through the complete lifecycle of concept to mature offered in the marketplace. Familiar with the Schneider Electric Offer Creation Process (OCP) preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to work with limited supervision and direction.

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
- BS. degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Software)
- 5 + years of product development and/or project management experience preferred.
- Knowledge of Industrial Measurement instruments preferred.
