Description

The Senior Quality Engineer (Chemical / Metals) will:

  • Drive continuous improvement in inspection equipment and processes.
  • Lead or support actions and projects for proactive and responsive product and process improvements.
  • Oversee the Material Review Board (MRB), coordinating investigations and resolutions for non-conforming products and components.
  • Manage the Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) system, including review, tracking, and ensuring timely implementation of CAPAs.
  • Document processes and assist in training related to quality standards.
  • Conduct regular calibration of measuring and testing equipment in compliance with SOPs and relevant regulations.
  • Support the development and implementation of procedures for measurement system analysis and Test Method Validation.
  • Contribute to Quality Management System (QMS) improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in quality audits, both internal and external.
  • Review and disposition First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) to ensure compliance with requirements.
  • Update procedures based on investigations, CAPA results, customer feedback, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Engage as a member of the Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) team.

Profile

The Senior Quality Engineer (chemical / metals) Ideally comes from the following background:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Industrial).
  • At least 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Process Engineering, or Product Engineering.
  • Proficient in interpreting mechanical drawings and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Experience with internal and external Quality Management System (QMS) audits.
  • Ideally coming from a background in chemical or metal manufacturing
  • Skilled in problem analysis, identification, and resolution.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Focused on customer service, quality, and safety.
  • Local to Framingham, MA
