Description

Quality Manager responsibilities:

  • Oversee Quality Control Processes: Ensure all products meet or exceed industry standards and customer expectations through rigorous quality control protocols.
  • Compliance Management: Maintain adherence to ISO 9001, AS9100 & NADCAP standards and other relevant regulations, ensuring all processes comply with industry guidelines.
  • Quality Audits: Conduct regular internal audits and facilitate external audits to verify the effectiveness of the quality management system.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in production processes and implement corrective actions to enhance product quality and efficiency.
  • Customer Communication: Liaise with customers to address quality concerns, providing prompt and effective solutions to maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends, root causes of defects, and opportunities for process optimization.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of quality control activities, findings, and improvements, and prepare detailed reports for management review.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with production, engineering, and other departments to ensure quality standards are integrated into all stages of the manufacturing process.

Profile

Successful Quality Manager:

  • Extensive Quality Control Experience: Proven track record in quality control and assurance, preferably in the manufacturing or metal finishing industry.
  • ISO 9001 Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and experience in maintaining compliance within a production environment. AS9100 & NADCAP ARE
  • Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and develop effective solutions for quality improvement.
  • Leadership Abilities: Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with experience in mentoring and developing a high-performing quality control team.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of effectively liaising with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Problem-Solving Aptitude: Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly address and resolve quality issues.
  • Process Improvement Expertise: Experience in implementing process improvement methodologies, such as Six Sigma or Lean, to enhance production quality and efficiency.
  • Detail-Oriented: High attention to detail, ensuring meticulous adherence to quality standards and documentation practices.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with advanced quality management systems and tools, and the ability to leverage technology for quality assurance and control.
