Job description
Apogee is actively seeking a Program manager to provide support to the NC3 Contract and specifically the NCS division. The AFNWC/NC3 Integration Directorate is headquartered at Hanscom Air Force Base, MA, with an operating location at Kirtland AFB, NM. The NC3 Directorate's mission is to provide support to the Program Executive Office (PEO), the Deputy Director, Deputy AFPEO NC3, and staff for acquisition and administrative control of all NC divisions, branches, and programs. It consists of an Executive Section, Engineering (EN), Financial Management (FM), Operations Management (OM), Information Protection (IP), Contracts (PK), Cyber, Logistics (LG), the Program Execution Group (PEG), and Intelligence (IN). The Strategic Communications Division (NCS) develops nuclear survivable terminals capable of communicating with the Milstar and Advanced Extremely High Frequency (AEHF) satellite constellations and future satellite constellations using both the Extremely High Frequency (EHF) and AEHF waveforms. This is a full-time role located at Hanscom AFB, MA. Contingent upon contract modification. Why work with us? What you'll be doing: Supports the Acquisition Program Manager (APM) in assessing what programs are within schedule and cost baselines. Staffs Defense Acquisition Executive Summaries (DAES), Monthly Activity Reports (MAR), and support program management and IMP/IMS reviews. Oversees the allocation of resources based on program requirements. Manages meetings, calendars, agendas, and briefings, including providing briefings of program status to senior management. Determines requirements; develops goals and objectives to accomplish program missions. Gather, analyze, and measure the effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of acquisition, sustainment, or modification programs utilizing knowledge of qualitative and quantitative techniques. Ability to understand various funding types, and budgets, and understand the Central Asset Management (CAM) process. Monitors, mentors, and develops lower-level (Senior, Journeyman) Acquisition Support Specialists and other contractor support personnel in accordance with Govt PMO leadership lines of effort, policy, and standard operating procedures. Experience: Minimum Experience: Citizenship: Must be a US citizen Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain a Secret clearance Education: High School Diploma Years of Experience: 7 or more years of directly related experience with DoD acquisition programs Additional Experience: Comprehensive knowledge of principles, policies, and practices of systems acquisition and program management, as defined in DoDI 5000.02 Operation of the Adaptive Acquisition Framework, AFI 63-, as well as knowledge of roles and relationships within the DoD and the Air Force Demonstrated ability to plan, research, analyze, and assess system acquisition in terms of development, production, deployment, and sustainment of weapons systems and associated equipment as well as formulate plans and recommend effective strategies in meeting cost, schedule, and performance objectives Understand the different funding types, budgets, and the Central Asset Management (CAM) process Strong working Knowledge of Microsoft (MS) Office Suite software and project management/scheduling applications such as MS Project Preferred Experience: Certifications: DAWIA Practitioner (formerly Level II) Equivalency in Program Management Education: Bachelor's degree Years of Experience: 3 or more years of directly related experience with DoD acquisition programs Benefits & Compensation: Apogee offers two medical plans, a high deductible health plan with an HSA and HRA and a traditional POS plan with co-pays, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, PTO, paid holidays, parental, military, and jury duty paid leaves.
