Job description

Position Title: Home ABA Provider Type: Grade 9-Special Education Time and Location: After school hours in student homes (7 hours) Start Date: TBD Job Description and Responsibilities: The Home ABA Technician will work under the close, ongoing supervision of Hingham Public School's Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to deliver home services to those students who require such services. Hours will take place after and or before school hours. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to: The direct implementation of behavior-analytic services in the areas of: academics, behavior, social skills, adaptive living skills, community integration, and vocational tasks as determined by a home assessment The ability to manage a flexible schedule to provide services in the home setting (generally after school hours) Recording, maintaining, and reporting on all data and program books for the students Assist in the completion of Functional Behavioral Assessments and deliver behavior programming to individuals using the methodology of ABA Report to BCBA supervisor and utilize feedback to refine, change and further modify academic and behavior programs to best meet student needs with minimal supervision Maintain a program book and summarize and visually represent academic and behavioral programming/data weekly. Data/program books will be subject for frequent review at any time by the Director of Student Services, Assistant Director of Student Services, the District and Home BCBA, the District-wide BCBA, or any other designee Support students to optimize social interactions and social pragmatic instruction in real life situations throughout sessions using ABA methodology Other duties as delegated by supervisor Qualifications: 1-3 years previous experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders, Developmental Delay or Emotional/Behavioral Disorders. Bachelor's degree in education, special education, or related field Training and experience using the tenants and techniques of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), preferred. Physical Requirements: Must be able to travel between multiple school and home locations Must have a valid MA driver's license Must be able to participate and assist in personal hygiene tasks, including, but not limited to toileting.
