Job Description for Industrial Machine Maintenance Manager

The Industrial Machine Maintenance Manager is heavily focused on managing a small team of mechanics and handymen/women. The Industrial Machine Maintenance Manager will report directly to the Vice President and will perform and organize repairs and maintenance in coordination with other department heads.

The ideal candidate for the Industrial Machine Maintenance Manager is self motivated and excited to learn about new and aged machinery throughout the plant. You'll be expected to diagnose machine breakdowns and implement repairs based on in-house capabilities and outside resources. The candidate should be a good leader, with a strong mechanical and or electrical background. We have a variety of machines in our factory, including; punch presses, a CNC press break, a CNC plasma machine, wire benders, straighten and cutoff machines, lathes, a robotic welder, spring coil machines, and various custom built machinery. Some units are older, others are brand new, so we deal with a wide range of maintenance issues.

The building we occupy also has its share of upkeep, from fire prevention systems to light carpentry work and handyman tasks.

Responsibilities for Industrial Machine Maintenance Manager Include:

-Daily, weekly, monthly maintenance planning

-Diagnose and repair machinery

-Oversee building repair and maintenance(find what the issue is and get correct vendor in for repair)

-Schedule/coordinate/oversee outside service calls

-Evaluate, coach, and train employees

-Design and improve preventative maintenance plan

-Organize/manage inventory of spare parts

Qualifications for Industrial Machine Maintenance Manager :

-Extensive Mechanical and/or electrical experience

-5 years of managerial experience

-Excellent communication and organization skills

-Leadership and problem solving

-Strong work ethic and ability to set and achieve personal goals

-Strong computer skills: proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Reader, CRM software a plus-Ability to read and understand dimensioned drawings

-Experience maintaining and repairing some or all of the following:

-Punch presses - both the controls and mechanical components-CNC Machines - programming experience, servo motors-Hydraulic and pneumatic equipment-Resistance welding machines - mechanical components and controls-Lathes-PLC controls
