Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Chief Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in excavating estimation and strong project management skills. This role involves overseeing the estimation process for various site development projects, ensuring accurate cost assessments and effective project planning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage cost estimates for commercial site development projects, including bulk excavation, grading, and utilities installation.
• Analyze project plans and specifications to determine accurate material and labor costs.
• Prepare detailed estimates and proposals for clients, including cost breakdowns and scope of work.
• Collaborate with project managers to review and finalize estimates, ensuring alignment with project requirements and budgets.
• Monitor project progress and adjust estimates as needed to reflect changes in scope or unforeseen conditions.
• Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather information for accurate estimation.
• Maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain accurate pricing and negotiate contracts.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies in all estimation processes.

Qualifications:

• 5 years of experience in excavation estimation and project management.
• In-depth knowledge of commercial site development, including earthwork, grading, and utility installation.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess project requirements and provide accurate cost estimates.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in estimation software and tools.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Valid gas card and clean driving record.
