Job Duties: The Principal Research Associate, in vivo Pharmacology will be responsible for the following job duties: (1) Participate in in vivo pharmacology efforts and engage in IND-enabling activities; (2) Design and execute in vivo preclinical research focused on anti-tumor efficacy and mechanism of action studies for the companys lead therapeutic candidates; (3) Perform standard and complex in vivo procedures, such as tumor implantation and measurements (solid or liquid tumor models), multi route dosing, blood sampling, and tissue necropsy; (4) Perform standard in vitro and ex vivo work such as cell culture, tumor analysis, flow cytometry, and cytokine measurements; (5) Maintain experimental records, analyze data, and prepare study reports; and (6) Be familiar with IACUC protocols and guidelines. Requirements: Employer requires a master's degree in biological science, biotechnology, or a closely related field and four (4) years of work experience as a biological scientist, or closely related occupation, conducting research and laboratory activities. In addition, the employer requires the following: (1) Demonstrated knowledge of in vivo cancer biology, pharmacology, immunology, cell therapy, or related disciplines gained through four (4) years of work experience in a laboratory environment with a focus on cancer biology; (2) Demonstrated understanding of IACUC protocols and guidelines gained through four (4) years of work experience working with animal models of cancer; (3) Demonstrated ability in animal handling, tumor implantation and measurement, blood collection, and necropsy gained through four (4) years of work experience; and (4) Demonstrated knowledge of flow cytometry, cell culture, or functional assays involving primary immune cells gained through three (3) years of work experience.
