The Sales Specialist - Clinical Capital Equipment will be responsible for managing and expanding our client base within the healthcare sector. This role requires a deep understanding of clinical equipment, excellent sales skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the clinical space.

Client Details

Our client is the market leader in clinical osmometers for nearly 70 years. Based in the Greater Boston area they develop and manufacture capital equipment to imporve laboratory outcomes across multiple verticals including - biotech, clinical, food & bev, etc.

Description

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sales and Business Development:

    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the clinical capital equipment market.
    • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand market share.
    • Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to healthcare professionals and decision-makers.
    • Negotiate contracts and close sales, ensuring alignment with company policies and customer needs.
  2. Customer Relationship Management:

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with hospital administrators, clinicians, and procurement teams.
    • Provide exceptional customer service and support throughout the sales process and post-sale.
    • Address customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a timely and professional manner.
  3. Market and Product Knowledge:

    • Stay current with industry trends, market conditions, and competitive landscape.
    • Develop a thorough understanding of our product offerings and their clinical applications.
    • Educate customers on the benefits and features of our equipment, demonstrating how they meet specific clinical needs.
  4. Collaboration and Coordination:

    • Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, product management, and customer support, to ensure alignment and optimize sales efforts.
    • Participate in trade shows, conferences, and other industry events to represent the company and build brand awareness.
  5. Reporting and Documentation:

    • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline status in CRM systems.
    • Prepare and submit regular sales reports, forecasts, and other performance metrics.

Profile

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of X years of experience in sales, with a focus on clinical capital equipment or medical devices preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
    • Strong understanding of clinical workflows and healthcare environments.
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
    • Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
    • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
