Job description

The Opportunity:

As the Investigator I, LNP Chemistry and Formulation, you will work in the RNA Vaccine Process & Chemistry group and play the critical role on improvement of mRNA vaccines. Y ou will design and execute experiments to improve the performance of the lipid nanoparticle (LNPs) by optimizing lipid chemistry and LNP formulation process and apply the improvement on the mRNA vaccine application.

The Role:

• Innovative LNP discovery and optimization to improve mRNA lipid nanoparticle vaccine platform.

• Design and develop novel lipids of delivery vehicles for nuclei acid-based payloads.

• Provide expertise to improve the scientific understanding of LNP chemistry and formulation process of mRNA vaccine.

• Performance of mRNA lipid nanoparticle formulations to support vaccine projects and preclinical development in animal models.

• Collaborate with internal and external partners in developing next- generation delivery systems for mRNA vaccines and beyond.

• Effectively communicate ideas, scientific findings, progress updates and prepare data summary presentation, compile data, and author technical reports.

• Support to maintain functional laboratory equipment, manage laboratory database and follow HSE regulation.

Your skills and Experience:

• PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Science, or related fields with 0+ years of postdoc experience

• Academic or biotech experience with lipid chemistry or LNP is required.

• Experience with LNP characterization techniques such as DLS-Zeta measurement and electron microscopy is required.

• Experience with common laboratory and analytical techniques, such as UV/vis spectroscopy, HPLC, fluorescence assays are preferred.

• The ability to produce accurate and reproducible results while working on multiple tasks is required.

• The ability to work in teams with written/oral communication skills are required.
