Job description

We are seeking a LocumsAnesthesiologist Physician to join our team in Worcester, MA. This role offersa flexible schedule with full-time weekday coverage needed. The positioninvolves four 10-hour shifts, which include Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Fridayfrom 7 AM to 5 PM, and Wednesday from 8 AM to 6 PM. The anesthesiologist willwork at both the University and the hospital.

Call coverage is requiredonce a month if involved in obstetrics (OB), from 4 PM to 7 AM on weekdays.Weekend call may consist of a 12-hour OB call or a Main Operating Room (MOR)pager call. The call ratio is 1:1. Theanesthesiologist will be responsible for performing a range of "bread andbutter" anesthesia cases. There will be no cardiac, pediatric, traumacases, or pain management responsibilities. Regional blocks are not required,and the average number of cases in the operating room ranges from 3 to 9 perday.

The practice settingincludes 16 operating rooms at the Hospital and 13 operating rooms atUniversity Hospital, along with NORA (Non-Operating Room Anesthesia) sites.Additionally, there are 2 endoscopy suites in the Endoscopy Department atUniversity Hospital. On average, the CRNA will manage 3 cases per day in theoperating room.

Qualifications:

OB training is helpful but not required;however, the facility handles high-risk OB cases.

Fellowship in OB is preferred but notmandatory.

Must possess a valid Massachusetts medicallicense.

Experience with IMLC-certified providers isnot applicable, as the facility has not had such providers before.
