Job description
We're seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our Enterprise Data and Advanced Analytics team. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive data-informed solutions across various business domains, including process optimization, analytics, and technology research. Your work will be pivotal in designing, developing, and maintaining advanced data ingestion and analytics pipelines, utilizing cutting-edge cloud technologies, machine learning models, and scalable processes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design & Develop Data Pipelines
Orchestrate complex data pipelines with tools like Informatica and Python, ensuring efficient data flow from diverse sources.
Leverage Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services (e.g., Dataflow, Cloud Functions) to build scalable and resilient data ingestion and processing solutions.
Implement CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions and Argo CD, enhancing automation and deployment consistency.
Monitor production pipelines, optimizing and tuning models for accuracy, performance, and scalability.
Document best practices and establish quality standards for data science solutions.
Review and provide constructive feedback on data science applications.
2. Manage & Analyze Data
Integrate and manage various data sources, including relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Snowflake), big data platforms (Hadoop, Parquet files, BigQuery, Big Lake with Iceberg), and streaming data (Kafka, GCP Dataflow/Proc).
Employ compute engines such as Hive, Impala, and Spark to analyze large datasets and generate valuable insights.
3. Deliver Actionable Insights
Partner with business stakeholders to understand challenges and translate them into analytical frameworks.
Develop APIs and interfaces for data insights, empowering stakeholders to make informed decisions.
4. Drive Machine Learning Innovation
Explore and implement Vertex AI models to support quick insights and meet evolving business requirements.
5. Stay at the Forefront
Stay updated on the latest data technologies and best practices.
Contribute to continuous improvement of the data infrastructure and analytics processes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in data engineering, with expertise in data pipeline design and management.
Proficiency with data integration tools (e.g., Informatica), cloud-based data processing (preferably GCP), and orchestration tools.
Strong knowledge of relational and big data platforms, as well as streaming data tools.
Experience with CI/CD practices and tools like GitHub Actions and Argo CD.
Familiarity with machine learning, Vertex AI, and advanced analytics techniques.
Excellent communication skills, with a proven ability to collaborate across departments.
Pay Details: $65.00 to $70.00 per week
