Registered Dietitian
Region VII Area Agency on Aging/Sunrise PACE is accepting applications for a highly motivated Registered Dietitian. We are a growing non-profit organization based in Bay City, MI. The Sunrise PACE center and job location is located in Fort Gratiot (St. Clair County) . We believe in advocating, planning, developing, and supporting a comprehensive system of quality care and services designed to achieve the optimum level of health, well-being, and independence of people as they age.

Purpose of the position Provide Registered Dietitian services to patients nutritional project areas. Assess, plan, organize, and participate in the overall nutritional plan of care for clients served by Sunrise PACE and the associated nutritional program areas. Effectively links clients and providers to available needed resources by coordinating with Area Agency on Aging staff. Additionally, we will look to the Registered Dietitian to continually study emerging trends and stay current on new research related to the practice of dietetics, and educate staff on pertinent topics related to human nutrition and culinary service.

Requirements for this position
Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics or Nutrition (must be accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics).
Compliant with state healthcare regulatory requirements and certifications.
Up-to-date knowledge of nutritional programs and requirements.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to initiate and maintain positive working relationships with staff, clients, and other organizations.
Must be accurate, conscientious and flexible with attention to detail and proficient with computers.
Ability to communicate with elderly or disabled participants on a one-to-one basis
Ability to conduct presentations and educational events to a wide variety of individuals with different knowledge and positions
Possess analytic and organizational abilities, interviewing and listening skills, assertiveness skills, and ability to work effectively as a member of an interdisciplinary team
