Wall Panel Designer - MiTek Specialist- Remote Opportunity!

Our client is looking for a skilled Wall Panel Designer with expertise in MiTek software to join their team. In this role, you will use advanced computer tools to prepare detailed presentations of building material requirements and system layouts for assigned projects. You may also design residential roof and floor systems to support pricing and manufacturing efforts.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Design wall panel projects, primarily for multi-family structures, using MiTek software.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and contractors to address changes and corrections before and during construction.
  • Create and manage accurate materials lists for assigned projects.
  • Resolve architectural and design discrepancies to ensure project accuracy.
  • Maintain consistent attendance in line with company policy.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and detailed technical drawings.
  • Utilize computer tools to produce precise layouts (takeoffs) of customer orders.
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes and material constraints in designs and materials lists.
  • Provide excellent customer service by assisting with accurate, timely, and thorough project information.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of standard design specifications and actively participate in process improvements.
  • Meet project deadlines and ensure timely delivery of design work.

Qualifications:

Education:


  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associate's Degree in civil, architectural, or design-related fields preferred, but not required.

Experience:


  • 3-5 years of drafting experience within the construction or building materials industry is essential.

Skills & Abilities:


  • Proficiency in MiTek software with 3-5 years of hands-on experience.
  • Strong technical writing skills, salesmanship, and communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in AUTOCAD, Microsoft Office, and other design software.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
