SUMMARY: Management Business Solutions is seeking a Maintenance and Facilities Manager for its automotive client in Livonia, MI (link removed) The person will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and operations of all manufacturing facilities and equipment.



RESPONSIBILITIES:


Evaluate the current state of facilities and equipment.
Recommend equipment specifications, modifications and/or upgrades to improve efficiency, safety, and quality.
Oversee the installation of new equipment and facility modifications.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide training opportunities to enhance team skills.
Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs.
Ensure timely and effective maintenance of equipment and facilities.
Manage repair and maintenance budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions.
Maintain safety standards to prevent accidents and injuries.
Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment status, and safety inspections.


QUALIFICATIONS:


Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical or other engineering discipline required.
10+ years of experience with manufacturing operations, and with process and systems development.
Experience in managing budgets and negotiating contractor costs.
Excellent leadership and team management skills, with proven experience leading teams of direct reports required.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Proficiency in maintenance management software and tools.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
