Tact Staff is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Saginaw, Michigan.

The RN functions primarily in direct patient care and demonstrates "competent" clinical practice. Thisposition triages patients, obtains patient history and vital signs and assesses patients. Acts independentlyto initiate immediate care in the absence of a physician in life-threatening situations. Provides care for theacutely ill as well as the non-acute patient. Performs multiple procedures utilizing both complex and simplenursing skills and assists the physician with their procedures. Provides comfort, both physical andpsychological, to the patient, their family, and visitors. Provides discharge and follow-up instructions to thepatient and family. Answers the ambulance radios and, without assistance, give appropriate orders forpre-hospital care. Works with multiple types of sophisticated equipment and handles various types ofpatients in a frequently stressful environment.Facility Specific Requirement: Cannot accept local candidates that live within 50 miles of the facility.

2+ Years of Experience - Required Profile Requirements:Work HistorySkills Checklist, current to 1 year, pertinent to the specialty2 Supervisory Reference Forms, taken within the last two yearsLicense/Certifications (MI LARA & BLS, ACLS - AHA)Candidates' Permanent Address (Facility will consider local candidates for one 13 week contract, afterwards, they are to go perm- 50 mile radius restriction)
