This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of challenging projects, providing expert analysis and solutions for industrial buildings. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting Short Circuit and Arc Flash Studies, utilizing EDSA/Paladin DesignBase and/or ETAP software.

Our company is seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Electrical Arc Flash Engineer to join our team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of challenging projects, providing expert analysis and solutions for industrial buildings. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting Short Circuit and Arc Flash Studies, utilizing EDSA/Paladin DesignBase and/or ETAP software.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct comprehensive Short Circuit and Arc Flash Studies in industrial buildings to ensure safety and compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
2. Utilize EDSA/Paladin DesignBase and/or ETAP software for electrical system modeling and analysis.
3. Develop and implement safety procedures and guidelines related to electrical hazards.
4. Provide expert advice and recommendations to clients and team members on the mitigation of electrical hazards.
5. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and implement effective electrical safety systems.
6. Prepare detailed reports and presentations on findings and recommendations.
7. Stay updated on industry trends, advancements, and best practices in electrical safety.
8. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and safety.

Qualifications:

1. A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience as an Electrical Arc Flash Engineer or in a similar role.
3. At least 3 years of experience in conducting Short Circuit and Arc Flash Studies in industrial buildings.
4. Proficiency in using EDSA/Paladin DesignBase and/or ETAP software for electrical system modeling and analysis.
5. Professional Engineering Licensure in the State of Michigan is preferred.
6. Demonstrated ability to perform short circuit and arc flash hazard analysis.
7. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
8. Strong knowledge of electrical safety standards and regulations.
9. Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
10. Willingness to stay updated on industry trends and advancements.
11. High attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety.
