Description

The System Administrator has the responsibility for the effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of system hardware and software and related infrastructure. The Systems Administrator participates in the technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. They must ensure that the system hardware, operating systems, applications, and related procedures adhere to and support organizational values and requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Install configure, maintain, and troubleshoot systems services, TCP/IP protocols, network utilities, system security, virtual environments and user account information in a production server environment.
  • Track technical issues that arise and develop long-term solutions for improved support of organizational needs.
  • Utilize PM (preventative maintenance) Schedule to keep computers and peripherals functioning properly.
  • Develop a continuous improvement plan to assist the organization in the use of "Best Practices" for the network.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and make recommendations for upgrades, repair or replacement as applicable.
  • Implement and maintain new virtual and cloud technologies based on business needs.
  • Maintain Microsoft Active Directory Users and Computers (ADUC) and other domain services.
  • Uphold company values and mission.
  • Other duties as assigned.


EDUCATION

  • Associates Degree in Computer Related Technology
  • Relevant industry certification preferred

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Domain Services
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows 10 and Windows Server 2012(or newer) Operating Systems
  • Knowledge of installing and managing enterprise antivirus software
  • 5 years of experience supporting workstations in a networked environment
  • Knowledge of common project management workflows
  • Attention to detail; Excellence in quality of work
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience Managing Office 365 and Azure Enterprise configurations
  • 3+ years of experience managing VMware configurations
