Job description
Duties Conducts reviews of the Integrated Product Support (IPS) planning program. Identifies IPS planning requirements needed for systems fielded to defense elements. Reviews and assists with equipment and Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) authorization development, type classification, and documenting materiel supportability and acceptability. Assists in the development of Basis of Issue Plan Feeder Data (BOIPFD) and Manpower Requirements Criteria (MARC). Represents the command at meetings, conferences, working groups, training requests, and committees at all levels. Requirements Conditions of Employment This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of Specialized Experience which includes 1) Performing and managing tasks or programs in the areas of Life Cycle Logistics, 2) Participating in or leading meetings or working groups with various organizations, 3) Providing support to internal and external customers, and 4) Providing training or briefings in support of Army equipment, systems, or items. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Technical Data Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Selectees must meet the position requirements for Life Cycle Logistics within 48 months of entrance on duty. Position is designated non-critical sensitive as defined in DoD 5200.2 This requires that a personnel security investigation be adjudicated on a pre-appointment basis which may take up to 90 days or longer to process. The selectee may be allowed to start work prior to adjudication if management approved. Obtaining and maintaining a secret security clearance is a condition of employment. If the security clearance is denied or revoked, the individual may be denied or removed from the position, accordingly. Position may be filled as a time-limited promotion, reassignment or change to lower grade not to exceed (NTE) 1 year by a current permanent Army employee. Time-limited promotions may be extended up to a maximum of five years. Time-limited reassignments and changes to lower grade may exceed five years, however return rights may be impacted.
