Maxar is currently seeking a Photogrammetrist who will be responsible for highly customized processing of satellite digital data into products in support of multiple systems. This position will assist in the implementation of processes and workflows to build digital mapping products from Maxar imagery and other commercially available satellite or aerial sensors. To be successful in this role, you will be expected to have knowledge of photogrammetry, image processing, camera models, all forms of digital elevation models, their sources and how they are used. This position can be filled in Ypsilanti, MI; Herndon, VA or Westminster, CO. Minimum Requirements: US citizenship with an active/current TS/SCI clearance.
Bachelors degree in cartography, geography or related field.
8 years experience.
Experience interfacing with photogrammetry industry professionals in a classified environment and with precision imagery such as DPPDB or CI-Ortho.
Demonstrated knowledge in photogrammetry topics such as triangulation, orthorectification, sensor model error propagation, measures of positioning accuracy and automated photogrammetry pipelines for production applications.
Experience planning and executing camera model calibration studies.
Experience writing software to exploit to Community Sensor Model (CSM) models like GFM/GLAS and RSM.
Experience with image processing and basic 3D mesh manipulation in a high-performance computing environment.
Python programming language / GIT version control.
Experience developing software executing in AWS cloud environments.
Must be willing to work on-site. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with multi-view stereo 3D reconstruction
Ability to read C++ or industry specifications for C++ required with proficiency at basic C++.
Experience developing software executing in Azure cloud environments.
Experience working at the byte level with NGA standards like NITF and the various TRE standards.
Experience working adjacent to optical modeling, thermal modeling, electro-optical system models and general space platform. Individual pay will be competitive based on a candidates unique set of knowledge, skills, and geographic diversity, with earnings potential commensurate with experience. The range for this position is: $94,000.00 - $200,000.00 annually.
