General Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift

Job description

The General Maintenance Technician at Mate Precision Technologies maintains and repairs machines according to schedule and priority. This individual may also help or guide others while they perform maintenance duties or tasks.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

• Conducts machine lubrication, filter replacement, machine tool coolant replacement, and coolant maintenance, analysis, and replacement on an as-needed or scheduled basis.
• Performs equipment repairs.
• Maintains standing equipment such as air compressors, peripheral machinery, chillers, and other utility-type equipment.
• Repairs and maintains the physical structure of the organization.
• Conducts janitorial services as needed, including maintaining the building grounds, snow blowing, and plumbing.
• Collaborates with others, is open-minded, responsive, and supportive of others' efforts to succeed.
• Demonstrates integrity by being dependable, having good judgment, being honest, and taking responsibility for their actions.
• Respectful of others, encouraging others to share their ideas, actively listening to others, and having common courtesy.
• Other duties as assigned.

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Trade school training in a mechanical-related field or two years of related experience is preferred.
• Arithmetically proficient.
• Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

• Frequent walking, standing, bending, and stooping.
• Use of hand to finger.
• Frequently lift, move, push, and pull up to 60 pounds.
• Reach with hands and arms.
• The noise level is moderate.
• Occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles.

Pay, Work Schedule, & Benefits:

• Pay Range: $34.24 - $37.35/hour, depending on experience.
• Scheduled Work Hours: Monday-Thursday from 3:00 PM to 1:30 AM
