Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:•Managing staff and workflows•Maintaining policies and procedures •Performing staff competency assessments•Monitoring statistics and test utilization•Fiscal responsibility•Complying with regulatory standards and maintaining accreditation•Human Resource management according to Essentia Health guidelinesThis individual requires excellent customer service and team working skills to promote positive relationships with patients, coworkers, departments and others. The laboratory supervisor will work with other departments and committees to maintain a high level of care while promoting the mission and vision of Essentia Health. Some supervisors may also manage the radiology department, if applicable. The laboratory supervisor will also work various shifts in the lab as a MLS to ensure there is efficient workflow. This can include on-call weekend and holidays.
Education Qualifications:

Educational Requirements:

  • Graduate of a four-year degree in Medical Laboratory science or equivalent
  • OR
  • Meets Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) guidelines for the complexity of laboratory testing for alternative route

Required Qualifications:

  • 2 years of previous experience in a hospital or clinic laboratory

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:

Certification/Licensure Requirements:

  • Current American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP)
  • OR
  • Equivalent certification

Shift Rotation: Day/Eve/Night Rotation (United States of America)

Shift Start/End: Varies/Varies

Hours Per Pay Period:
Compensation Range: $69285 - $103938 / year

Union:
FTE: 1

Weekends: On Call
