We are currently seeking a talented Senior Accountant for a mid-sized Twin Cities based organization. This organization has an excellent culture, and is looking for the right Senior Accountant to be a part of this collaborative team. This Senior Accountant will be in the office 3 days per week and at home 2 days per week.

Senior Accountant is responsible for:

• Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to general ledger accounts.
• Senior Accountant will handle month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities.
• Analyze financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital.
• Prepares balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports to summarize current and projected company financial position.
• Senior Accountant will audit contracts, orders, and vouchers, and prepare reports to substantiate individual transactions prior to monthly close process.
• Establish, modify, document, and coordinate the implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures.
• Other ad hoc projects as assigned

Qualifications for Senior Accountant:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting
• 3+ years of relevant Accounting experience (1+ years public accounting and CPA preferred, but not required)
• Financial statement preparation experience
• Team player, willingness to do what it takes to support team and organizational goals
• Strong Written and Verbal Communication skills; ability to effectively communicate across organizational boundaries
• Strong systems skills
