For more information about DAWSON, please visit Salary Range: $17.20 per hour This position is Service Contract Act which is subject to Health & Welfare benefits SUMMARY: The janitor will provide cleaning services to the facility in order to maintain a safe, neat, and professional work environment. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: ' Disinfect and dust surfaces and fixtures ' Clean floors and carpets ' Clean and maintain stockage in restrooms, shower rooms, and locker rooms ' Clean walls ' Empty wastebaskets ' Clean windows and glass ' Clean outside hard surface areas ' Police inside and outside areas of trash ' Assist with snow and ice removal ' Dust and wash blinds and coverings ' Respond to custodial work orders according to their priority ' Practice green cleaning techniques ' Adhere to local, state, and federal regulations regarding cleaning solutions and disposal ' Perform other related duties as assigned by management QUALIFICATIONS: ' No prior experience or training required, but preferred ' Must submit to and receive a favorable suitability determination from the Office of Personnel Management for unescorted access to facilities ' Must submit to and receive a favorable background criminal history check by name and date of birth from State of Residence PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: ' Continually required to stand ' Continually required to walk ' Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity ' Continually required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl ' Frequently required to talk or hear ' Frequent exposure to wet and/or humid conditions (non-weather) ' Occasional work near moving mechanical parts ' Occasional work around fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicals ' Frequent exposure to outside weather conditions ' While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually quiet ' The employee must occasionally lift and/or move 25 pounds DAWSON is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action/VEVRAA federal contractor.
