Overview This Driver position is responsible for driving the bus/van for purposes of providing and addressing transportation needs of the senior residents at The Pillars of Mankato in Mankato, MN. This Driver schedule includes; 20 hours every two weeks ; part time Tuesdays 12:00pm - 5:00pm and Thursdays 8:00am-1:00pm Partial Benefits: The Pillars of Mankato provides independent living, assisted living, and memory care apartments for seniors in a specially designed community. We incorporate the seven components of wellness (emotional, physical, intellectual, spiritual, social, environmental, and occupational) into our 118 units that make up The Pillars. Located near the crossroads of US 14 and 169, our community has its bus that residents can ride for our outings. Responsibilities/Job Description Completes transportation routes and duties in a timely manner. Maintains a log of transportation services and tasks performed throughout the driving period. Organizes work assignments. Modifies schedule to accommodate the need of passengers. Ensures compliance with all requirements pertaining to operation of special transportation vehicle. Communicates with supervisor about needed equipment and supplies. Provides supervisor with adequate notification of schedule difficulties. Follows policies and procedures of Ebenezer and state and federal rules and regulations. Functions effectively with limited direct supervision. Is responsible for the safety and welfare of passengers. Practices sound, safe judgment when performing transportation services. Knows and practices infection control procedures. Knows and practices fire and disaster procedures. Knows and practices safety procedures. Recognizes and acts appropriately on safety hazards and incidents. Responds appropriately to emergency situations. Displays knowledge and understanding of participant and resident rights. Provides assistance to all participants and residents, as needed. Qualifications Required High school diploma/GED Current driver's license in good standing Must be insurable under the employers auto Insurance Coverage Preferred one to three years of experience
