What Youll Do:



  • Lead the CAD Design Team, managing and coordinating the work of up to ten dedicated designers.

  • Support Engineering with the design and documentation of standardized electrical schematics, Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams and panel layouts for client projects.

  • Most industrial control panel design work is done in AutoCAD Electrical; standards and drawings are maintained in Autodesk Vault.

  • Provide technical expertise for the transfer of CAD data to our Production CNC machine.

  • Ensure that customers receive quality, smartly designed products.

  • Assist in analyzing and producing productivity enhancements and customizations (automated quality checks)

  • Assist in training internal users on corporate CAD standards, new software, and upgrades, as well as best practices.

  • Hold regular meetings and communicate information to the CAD team.

  • Manage resources and schedule CAD design resources to appropriate projects.

  • Improve processes, mentor and lead the team, and coordinate with cross-functional internal teams and external customers.


What Youll Bring:



  • Two-year degree in CAD Technology, or Engineering degree and relevant experience.

  • 1 0 or more years of experience using AutoCAD and/or AutoCAD Electrical.

  • UL508A Control Panel design expertise is required.

  • Management or Supervisory track record.

  • Composure under pressure, and ability to handle multiple responsibilities with assurance.

  • A passion for providing quality work, along with a track record of collaboration, improving processes, and increasing productivity while encouraging work/life balance.

  • Servant-leadership attitude is preferred.
