Job Description for Commercial Millwork Estimator

Commercial Millwork Estimator/PM's are critical to the effectiveness of our production process. In this role, you will utilize software technology to conduct millwork takeoffs for our commercial customers. You will ensure the most accurate and complete quotes are presented. After the job is awarded, you are responsible for project planning, delivering on schedules, and problem solving when needed. You will be the primary point of contact with customers, ensuring the project is delivered on time, within a prescribed budget and to the customer's specifications. This is an opportunity to apply your estimating experience, technical aptitude, and relationship management skills, to build strong relationships with some of the most prominent commercial general contractors in our market.

ARE YOU THIS COMMERCIAL MILLWORK ESTIMATOR?

The Millwork Estimator/PM is an effective collaborator. The successful candidate will have a high attention to detail, the ability to determine correct product applications, think creatively and have a clear understanding of the production process. Strong communication skills matched with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines effectively is a must. Commercial Millwork Estimators/PM's must be fluent in drafting and estimating technology. A tactful demeanor and well-developed interpersonal skills will contribute to the success of the individual in this role.

Minimum Requirements for Commercial Millwork Estimator:

• Up to two years of commercial millwork estimating experience or equivalent education

• Experience creating proposals

• Ability to read and understand bid documents, specifications, shop drawings, and blueprints

• Strong communication and time management skills

• High level of detail

Preferred for Commercial Millwork Estimator

• Degree in Construction Management OR equivalent experience

• Experience using PlanGrid or other job tracking and/or job management software

• Knowledge of AWI standard and finishing requirements

• 3 years of Estimating or Project Management Experience
