Job description

Electrical Engineer

A dynamic and expanding company is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to take ownership of the electrical design and control systems for equipment and processes. This role includes managing major capital projects, from initial concept through vendor selection, installation, and project execution, culminating in system start-up and debugging.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Serve as a key member of the Corporate Engineering Group, responsible for capital improvement initiatives across two manufacturing facilities.
  • Collaborate with external vendors, OEM representatives, contractors, and technical service teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Provide expert technical support to plant maintenance teams, troubleshooting and resolving production downtime issues.
  • Research and evaluate new technologies to upgrade or replace outdated equipment on aging production lines.
  • Review and approve electrical and process control design changes before implementation on the plant floor.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles and hands-on experience in mechanical system and product design.
  • PLC Programming Experience
  • Proficient in CAD software such as AutoCAD or AutoCAD electrical.
  • Excellent technical, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to drive projects to completion.
