Examples of Duties: Teach lecture and lab courses in Nursing, Practical Continuous curriculum development, including the design, revisions, and implementation of instructional materials and assessment of learner outcomes Integration of assessment activities into teaching practices and participation in department and college-wide assessment of student learning Support of the success and development of students through the use of a variety of instructional methods, available office hours, and by providing additional resources Development and implementation of on-campus, online and hybrid courses Contribution into department decisions on budget, scheduling, textbook selection etc. Participation in discipline, team, campus, and college matters through service on committees; attendance at regular meetings; and continued professional development Support and advance the department and college mission through ideas and projects Minimum Qualifications Education Requirement Bachelor's degree in nursing or a graduate degree in support of the field of nursing and/or education with a Bachelor's degree in Nursing if the graduate degree is not in Nursing. A nursing program director must hold a graduate degree in nursing, nursing administration, nursing education, public health nursing or a nursing clinical specialty. Occupational Experience Requirement Two full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience as a registered nurse at the professional level. As a registered nurse at the professional level, experientially qualified to accomplish the mission, goals, and expected student and faculty outcomes; including experiential preparation in the areas the faculty will teach. Recency Requirement One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years. Professional Requirement Current unencumbered licensure as a registered nurse (RN) with current registration in Minnesota. Other Requirement: Compliance with clinical affiliate policies for attending on-site clinical teaching assignments. Demonstrated ability to teach and work with persons from minoritized, historically marginalized, and/or culturally diverse groups.
