What do we need:

The Operations Associate will be responsible for the efficient and accurate management of incoming and outgoing inventory, ensuring that People Serving People's Emergency Shelter is stocked with necessary supplies for the families we serve. This hands-on role will focus on receiving, unloading, organizing, and distributing a wide range of materials, including food, clothing, hygiene products, and other essential items.


Responsibilities:

  • Pick up and record donations from donors as deemed necessary by the Facilities Manager & Assistant Manager, Food Services Manager and the Development Department.
  • Sort and distribute donations to the proper departments.
  • Redistribute unneeded donations to other not-for-profit organizations.
  • Take inventory of donation to determine items that need to be discarded or reordered.
  • Handle shelf allocation and rotation procedures, along with handling loading and unloading of merchandise onto/from delivery trucks.
  • Receive donations from vendors and suppliers and compare invoices to items that have been actually received to ensure the accuracy of shipment.
  • Helping with snow removal and clean up around and in building.
  • This position requires a great deal of organization It will be working with four different departments. Needs to maintain a calendar schedule so other departments no availability.
  • Able to identify scheduling challenges and work with various departments to make them work together.
  • Assemble office furniture and other donated items to be used throughout the building.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager.


Pay and Benefits:

  • $25.00 hourly
  • Full-Time, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

  • Highschool Diploma
  • Class D or better driver's license.
  • Able to be DOT Certified and must maintain active certification.
  • Minimum two years' experience driving a delivery truck.
  • One year of warehouse and inventory management.
  • Physical ability for high mobility.
  • Able to lift 75 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Pass background check and MVR check.
  • Be able to work in extreme temperatures.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.


Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and taste or smell. The employee must lift and/or move 75 lbs.



Compensation details: 25-25 Hourly Wage
