MDH's Health Equity Bureau () has an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Health Equity Administrative Student Worker. In this role, you will support administrative processes and coordination of activities to Health Equity Bureau leadership in the areas of communication, coordination, and public health engagement strategy. Job responsibilities include, but aren't limited to: + Collecting and assembling MDH health equity information to coordinate and engage with other public health organizations and leaders. + Preparing and collaborating on preparation of presentations, talking points, and general coordination of activities surrounding public speaking engagements for executive leadership. + Developing constructive and cooperative relationships in support of health equity networking and public health events. This is a hybrid telework position that will require occasional in-person meetings in the downtown St. Paul office location and Minneapolis-St. Paul metro area. This position is part-time and will work approximately 10 hours per week. The specific hours and days of work are flexible Monday - Friday. This position is anticipated to last until 5/31/2025 or until the selected candidate completes their educational program. To be eligible for appointment as a student worker you must be enrolled in a post-secondary, graduate, or doctoral program. You will be asked to complete an Education Verification form prior to employment. The successful candidate, under U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services regulations, must be able to accept work in the U.S. by the day employment begins. Minimum Qualifications _To facilitate proper crediting, please ensure that your resume/application clearly describes your experience in the areas listed below and indicates the beginning and ending month and year for each job held._ + Currently pursuing a postsecondary or graduate program with a minimum of two years of coursework completed. Qualifications to be further assessed during the interview process: + Understanding of public health, particularly in relation to health equity and community health, sufficient to provide basic program support. + Experience using Microsoft Office suite, email, and video conferencing tools. + Experience organizing and prioritizing workload with attention to detail with ability to focus on all areas of tasks and responsibilities, producing accurate, high-quality work. + Ability to work collaboratively and develop and maintain effective interpersonal relationships with co-workers, leadership, and community partners.
